We’re so excited to relaunch our blog series: Meet the Merchant, at Lonsdale Quay Market!

We love all of our vendors and want to share their exciting stories of how they came to be. Plus some intimate details you may not have known otherwise!

We originally started this series with Favourite Gifts, which you can read about here. We’re delighted to introduce you to one of our newest vendors, 123 Degrees WestCo-Owners, Eve and Alex started their exciting journey through a mutual love for the outdoors and traveling. Originally, they met in London and then proceeded on a road trip across North America! As avid travelers, they felt a lack in balance that “wasn’t quite right” which initiated this spark.

Eventually, with Vancouver as their target destination, they packed up their belongings and spent three months living out of their car prior to arrival. It dawned on them that this new lifestyle required two things, items that help you achieve (i.e. a 70-meter climbing rope) and items that give you satisfaction, such as a beautifully made top that fits all your fashion needs.

Equipped with these two thoughts in mind, 123 Degrees West was born. And create that vision they did. They value a passionate design with quality-made products. They put style first, practicality second, setting themselves apart from retailers who put profit first.

123 Degrees West offers a huge variety of local, beautifully crafted items from 100% linen blouses and pants, handbags, jewelry, and bamboo kitchenware and utensils! They carefully curate a select range of men’s and women’s clothing and outdoor gear that perfectly balance beauty and utility.

One brand that they share is Aeon Leather Studio, a clean, minimalistic style that hand-dyes their products in their studio. Another exciting brand, OffOn.Clothing, produces garments sustainably with 0% waste.

For a life that roams from the city to the mountains, from style to practicality.” – 123 Degrees West
