NORTH VANCOUVER, BC— Lonsdale Quay Market will celebrate the 5th annual BC Family Day over a weekend packed with interactive and fun activities to enjoy with your family. The North Shore activities will include a petting zoo and the Lonsdale Artisan Farmers’ Market.

The weekend kicks off with a petting zoo on the East Plaza on February 11th, 2017 from 10AM to 12PM. Goats, sheep, lambs, rabbits, chickens and a miniature horse will all be visiting the Market. The petting zoo is by donation with proceeds going towards Family Services of the North Shore.  Face painting and balloon animals are available for a small fee by the petting zoo on the East Plaza.

Detailed Schedule:

10:00am – 12:00pm: Petting Zoo on the East Plaza

10:00am – 1:00pm: Face Painting and Balloon Twisting by A-Star ($)

 

On Monday, February 13th, 2017 a Family Day Market featuring local crafters, artisans and the Lonsdale Artisan Farmers’ Market will take place from 10AM to 3PM by the South Entrance in the corridor between Bowen Island Pizza Co. and Muffin Delight. This is the beginning of a series of pre-season pop-up winter markets at Lonsdale Quay Market. Lonsdale Quay Market, located adjacent to the SeaBus in the heart of Lower Lonsdale, features a fresh food market with local products, an international food court, specialty retail shops showcasing local designers, kids shops and play area, full-service restaurants, and a boutique hotel, with unobstructed views of the Vancouver harbour and city skyline.
