NORTH VANCOUVER, BC- Lonsdale Quay Market is celebrating Lunar New Year on Saturday, January 28th, 2017. The Year of the Rooster festivities includes a dumpling cooking demonstration hosted by True Nosh at 1:00PM in the Rotunda. MLA Naomi Yamamoto will participate in the traditional Eye-Dotting Ceremony at 2:30PM followed by the Lion blessing the Market vendors. Keep an eye out for the God of Fortune, who is handing out red envelopes with assorted prizes to customers, as a symbol of good luck.

Event Schedule
1:00PM – 2:00 PM: Dumpling Cooking Demonstration with True Nosh
2:30PM – 2:40PM: Eye-Dotting Ceremony with MLA Naomi Yamamoto
2:40PM – 4:00PM: Lion Dance
