06 Oct Press Release: Lonsdale Quay Market Hosts 7th Annual Food Festival
NORTH VANCOUVER, BC— Delight your senses at Savour Fall Flavours, Lonsdale Quay Market’s food and beverage tasting festival taking place on October 22nd, 2016, 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. A delicious and informative line up where you will be able to explore the array of fine foods at the Market and meet the experts who prepare them.
Children are welcomed to join in a hands-on workshop hosted by Muffin Delight. Each child will be given a cookie to decorate and take home. This 30 minute Cookie Decorating Workshop is from 11:00 AM – 11:30 Am on Saturday, October 22nd.
Between 12:00 – 12:30, enjoy a Culinary Showcase hosted by Sharky’s Chophouse. The demonstration guides the audience through the step-by-step process to prepare a gourmet comfort food inspired meal. Sharky’s will be making a panko-crusted pork loin topped with arugula pesto sauce and served on a bed of braised cabbage and bacon. The main course will be accompanied by house-made pickled yellow beets and garlic roasted potatoes. Not only will the audience learn how to prepare the dishes, they will also have an opportunity to try them!
Get schooled in wine, with an Educational Seminar with Artisan Wine Shop where the sommeliers will lead visitors through a Wine and Cheese pairing seminar. The seminar features B.C. grown grapes and high-quality BC VQA wines, as well as local fresh cheese from Vancouver Island. Seminar begins at 1:00 PM.
This will be a chance to discover the taste of Lonsdale Quay Market during the fall. Participation is free for all events. Pre-registration is required, and is subject to availability.
