Savour Recipe: Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head of red cabbage
  • 1 apple julienne
  • 1 cup of minced onion
  • Bacon (optional)
  • 1cup of red wine
  • Vinegar
  • 1 cup of brown sugar

Instructions

  • Place in pot
  • Saute cabbage, onion and apple
  • Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • Cook until cabbage is tender.
