Kid's Fridays

Join
A-Star Art Parlour for face painting and balloon twisting (minimal cost) each Friday, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm.
Get a taste of
East Side Mario’s Kid’s Menu on the plaza every Friday, from 1pm to 2pm.
The
Kid's Fridays Charity BBQ will run from 12pm to 3pm every Friday, weather permitting. Chefs from Sharky's Artisan Sausages and the Salmon Shop will be preparing delicious meat and seafood kebabs, as well as hot dogs and veggie dogs. Supplies generously donated by Sharky's Artisan Sausages, the
Salmon Shop, and
COBS Bread. Hot dogs and veggie dogs cost $1.50, meat and seafood kebabs cost $3.50.

Dance Saturdays
South Plaza, 2 - 4pm
Presented by Dance 4U.
Free dance lessons and social dancing for all skill levels. Salsa, Swing, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Bachata, Tango, Merengue.
Class format: 2pm demo, 2:30 open dancing focusing on lesson style dance with other requests mixed in, 3pm demo and lesson, 3:30pm open dancing until 4pm.

Conventional and organic produce, jam, jelly, vinegar, salsa, sauces, baking, honey, maple syrup, tea, eggs, local artisans with pottery, wood work, jewellery, soap and live music. The Farmers Market also features a book swap, kids play area and featured entertainment.

Bring your teddy bear or other favourite stuffed toy to the Teddy Bear Picnic and Parade on August 21 at 12pm. Prizes and storytime for kids.
Cooking Contests are held on the first Saturday of the month at 2pm, on the East Plaza of Lonsdale Quay Market.

Deck out your stroller or bicycle for the Decorated Bicycle/Stroller Parade on September 18 at 1pm. Come decorated, or use the supplies at the Market Tent.
Come to the Farmer's Market on October 22 for the Scare Crow Contest and Parade. Bring along your own scare crow, or make one at the Market Tent. Parade begins at 1pm.
